Access to Barranco Blanco

To reach this enclave, you must first take the road MA-3303, with an exit about 5 kilometres from Alhaurín El Grande (in the direction of Coín). Once on this road, you will see signs indicating that it is forbidden to drive any further with a motor vehicle (due to the fire hazard). From here, you have to descend on foot along a path that runs mostly in the shade of a pine forest.

Once down, the surroundings make up for it and you soon see a small river flowing. The walk takes you upstream.

Wearing sturdy shoes is not a luxury, as the stones in the river are slippery and sometimes you have to clamber over some rocks. One moment you are ankle-deep in water, a few metres further you can be waist-deep in water.

After half an hour of walking, the river widens and there is a small lake where you can swim. By now, the water here has risen to your lips (in winter it can also be completely dry).
