Visit fashionable Marbella and Puerto Banús in one day.

Visit fashionable Marbella and Puerto Banús in one day.

Enjoy the old centre, beach and beautiful marinas

The old centre with its narrow streets, covered market and squares. The  three marinas: Puerto Banús, Puerto Deportivo and Marina La Bajadilla. Not to mention the beaches with its various Beach clubs.  Departing from B&B Finca La Toronja in Coín (Málaga), it is a 30-minute drive to the old centre via the A-355 and the white villages of Monda and Ojén.

Old town Marbella

Arriving in covered car park Market Marbella (open 24 hours a day). You can visit the old centre with its covered market “Mercado municipale de Marbella”, the Plaza de los Naranjos with all its many restaurants, the castle which is the most important vestige of Islamic civilisation remaining in the centre of Marbella and forms part of the urban fabric of what is known as the Historical Centre, its small streets and squares. After strolling around for a while and choosing a restaurant for later in the evening. We headed towards the promenade via Avenida del Mar with its bronze sculptures from the imagination of the brilliant artist Dali.

Marbella’s promenade

On the right you can see Puerto Deportivo with all its sailboats. We take the direction right towards Puerto Banús. Here we have the choice of either going on foot or taking Fly Blue catamaran to Puerto Banús. On foot via the beaches and their chiringuitos, famous beach restaurants, we reach Puerto Banús after strolling on the promenade at the back of the famous Golden Mile and Marbella Club Hotel for about 90 minutes or more. Enjoying the beautiful weather and the Mediterranean Sea.

Puerto Banús

Arriving in Puerto Banús, you soon notice the glitzy cars ranging from Ferrari, Mac Laren, Lamborghini, Bentley, Rolls Royce. Which drive around the marina here with its beautiful yachts and very large boats. “A place to be” of jet set of the world. And then we have the exclusive shops that you usually only come across in places like London, Paris, New York, Beverly Hills. Tired of walking around, you have the choice of returning on foot to Marbella’s old town or taking the Fly Blue boat service.  If one takes the catamaran, you can enjoy the “Sierra Blanca” mountain range against which Marbella is built.

Is one day enough to discover from Marbella? There is so much to experience and do here and this at a short distance from Finca La Toronja. And then we forgot the beaches with their total length of 27 km with their Beach clubs.
